Natalie Portman Shares Her Joy as a Mother of Three
Portman described her newborn as a “magical little human,” explaining that the experience has also made her reflect on how quickly her older children have grown.
The actress shares son Aleph, 15, and daughter Amalia, 9, with her former husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied. She said welcoming another child has renewed her attention to her older kids and reminded her to appreciate their individual personalities, humor, and ideas.
A Different Pregnancy Experience in Paris
Portman also discussed how pregnancy in Paris differed from her experiences in New York and Los Angeles. She explained that living in France offered her greater privacy, although public attention surrounding her pregnancy remained difficult at times.
Having grown up hearing about fertility challenges through her father, a fertility doctor, Portman said she understands how difficult pregnancy can be for many people. She expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to welcome another child.
At 45, the actress said she feels calmer and more confident in understanding the people and environment she wants around her. She also shared that she cherished this pregnancy, believing it may be her last.
As Portman balances family life with her acting career, her latest reflections highlight gratitude, personal growth, and the joy of welcoming a new member into her family.
